STEP Engineering Academy Lab Tour

On July 26th and 27th, CEES Center held a lab/facility tour for approximately 15 students aged 11-14. They were given a presentation on the basics of civil and earthquake engineering, shown the demo of the mini-centrifuge in-flight, given a tour of the main centrifuge and also had an opportunity to create toys that would let them grasp the concept of the centrifuge effect (blown-up balloon with a coin inside).

STEP program on the campus of RPI in Troy, New York provides an opportunity for students to merge their creative interest in LEGO® TECHNIC building elements with their “technological life styles.”
